Sergio Scariolo is fired by Virtus Bologna…

Scariolo and Virtus Bologna lacked communication and Bologna decided it was best to relieve him of his coaching duties… how did we get here?

• Scariolo spent the summer coaching the Spanish national team while management made roster moves that upset the former coach

• Scariolo’s press conference was the last straw and caused management to fire him

• Scariolo was a hot commodity, being strongly considered for the Raptors head coaching job

Virtus Bologna has already chosen their new head coach: Luca Banchi 🇮🇹

This hire makes sense for a number of reasons:

1. Luca is Italian and will connect well with Italian players and management 🇮🇹

2. Luca led Latvia to a 5th place finish in this summers FIBA World Cup and did a phenomenal job of coaching the Latvian players 🇱🇻 🏆

3. Luca has EuroLeague coaching experience

Deion Sanders… Prime Time. ⏰

If you are on any social media at all, you have most likely seen clips of Deion Sanders interviews, podcasts, tweets, etc.

Deion is seizing his moment and making sure everyone is aware of what is happening in Boulder, Colorado.

The Buffs are 3-0 after being predicted to win just 3 games all season… They are doing it with a lot of class. charisma, and confidence.

It has become very hard to root against Deion and his team.

We can all learn from this that when we have the spotlight and our opportunity comes knocking, make sure we take advantage of it.
